Forces of Nature is a series of works begun in 2014. The works in the series reference storms (Pertinax), earthquakes (Epicenter) and tsunamis (Tidal). The question which prompted these works is to what extent are such events caused by man and as a result are a manifestation of nature in revolt?
The eye is a region of mostly calm weather at the center of strong tropical cyclones. The eye of a storm is a roughly circular area, typically 20–40 miles in diameter. It is surrounded by the eyewall, which creates a stadium effect- a ring of towering thunderstorms where the most severe weather occurs.
